Prime Minister Narendra Modi has tweeted his congratulations to Shiv Sena president Uddhav Thackeray after he was sworn in as chief Minister of Maharashtra at a packed Shivaji park in Mumbai.

The shiv Sena split from the BJP after 30 years on the issue of chief Ministership after this year’s assembly polls. In a pre- poll alliance along with BJP the combine won 105 ( BJP ) and Shiv Sena ( 56).
