#TataIPL2023: Royal Challengers Bangalore Boost Play-Offs Hopes ; Thrash Rajasthan Royals By Massive 112 Runs

Needing a win to keep their play-offs hopes alive, Royal Challengers Bangalore came out with intent in Jaipur on a hot summer day to thrash Rajasthan Royals by a massive 112 runs. The biggest victory margin by any side in the Tata IPL2023 .

This after RCB skipper Faf du Plessis won the toss and decided to bat first. The pitch was on a rather slow side with ball not coming on to the bat and stroke-play was not easy. Virat Kohli fell for 18 . But Skipper Faf du Plessis in splendid form hit his seventh fifty scoring 55 ( 44 balls,3 fours, 2 sixes). Glenn Maxwell another big player struck a attacking 54 (33 balls,5 fours,3 sixes). RCB lost quick wickets too with the likes of Mahipal Lomror (1) and Dinesh Karthik ( 0) . But a fine cameo towards the end by Anuj Rawat 29 off 10 balls saw RCB reach 171/ 5 in their allotted 20 overs .
For the Royals Adam Zampa was superb 2/ 25 ( 4 overs) , Sandeep Sharma 1/34 (4 overs) , Yuzvendra Chahal 0/37 ( 4 overs), Ravichandran Ashwin 0/ 33 ( 4 overs) , KM Asif 2/42( 4 overs)

In reply The Royals suffered a humiliating batting collapse as they crashed to a embarrassing 59 all-out . RCB bowlers led by Wayne Parnell was all over them. The big three – Yashasvi Jaiswal ( 0), Jos Buttler (0) , Skipper Sanju Samson ( 4 ) . RR batting was rocked . Joe Root ( 10) , Devdutt Padikkal ( 4) did not fire too. Only Shimron Hetmyer showed intent with a quick 19 ball 35 ( 1 four, 4 sixes) but sadly found no support . Dhruv Jurel ( 1) , Ravichandran Ashwin ( 0), Adam Zampa ( 2), Sandeep Sharma ( 0) K M Asif (0). Royals bowled out for 59 in shocking 10.3 overs.

For RCB, Wayne Parnell was superb with 3/10 (3 overs), Michael Bracewell 2/16 (3 overs), Karn Sharma 2/19 (1.3 overs) , Mohammed Siraj 1/10 (2 overs), Glenn Maxwell 1/3 ( 1 over)
