#TataIPL2023 : Cameron Green Smashes Superb Maiden Ton As Mumbai Indians Rout Sunrisers Hyderabad By 8 Wickets ; Brighten Play-Offs Chances

Mumbai Indians needed to come good in must win match and they did that in style at Wankhede . Mumbai Indians kept alive their play -offs chances as they thrashed Sunrisers Hyderabad by eight wickets in a Tata IPl2023 encounter.

MI Skipper Rohit Sharma won the toss and decided to field on a hot day . And Mumbai Had to wait long for the first wicket too. SRH made several changes in their team and the results showed . SRH debutant opener Vivrant Sharma grabbed the opportunity with both hands and scored superb 69 ( 47 balls, 9 fours 2 sixes. Along with Mayank Agarwal the duo put on 140 for the first wicket in 13. 5 overs when Vivrant Sharma .

The stage was set for SRH to reach a target around 220 225. Mayank Agarwal finally got a chance and he too did not miss out scoring 83 ( 46 balls, 8 fours, 4 sixes). But unfortunately for SRH the batting choked . Heinrich Klaasen ( 18), Glenn Phillips ( 1) , Harry Brook ( 0), SRH Skipper Aiden Markram pushed himself down the order could not do much remained not out 13. Mumbai seamer Akash Madhwal ripped through the SRH batting with superb 4/ 37 ( 4 overs) figures . SRH from 220 possible struggled to reach 200/ 5 ( 20 overs)

In reply Mumbai Indians were off quickly . Ishan Kishan fell for 14. But Skipper Rohit Sharma and Aussie- all-rounder Cameron Green put them back on the chase with scintillating stand. The duo toyed with the inexperienced SRH bowling aided by sloppy fielding and several dropped catches that proved costly . Rohit Sharma struck a fine fifty off 37 balls with 8 fours . But it was Cameron Green who hogged the lime- might hitting his maiden IPL ton, It was a blistering unbeaten 100 off mere 47 balls with 8 fours and equal number of sixes. Suryakumar Yadav with four fours remained not out on 16 ball 25. Mumbai winning with ease reaching 201/ 2 in 18 overs.

Mumbai Indians currently have a NRR of -0.044 as against +0.180 of RCB. With an inferior NRR, MI had the improbable task of scoring 201 in 11.4 overs or 70 balls if they had to get past RCB on the table.
