#TATAIPL2022 : Delhi Capitals Captain Rishabh Pant , Shardul Thakur Fined, One-Match Ban On Pravin Amre For Breaching Code Of Conduct

Delhi Capitals captain Rishabh Pant and pacer Shardul Thakur were fined, and assistant coach Pravin Amre handed a one-match ban for breaching the IPL Code of Conduct during the team’s 15-run defeat to Rajasthan Royals, at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, on Friday.

according to a statement from the IPL, Pant admitted to the Level 2 offence under Article 2.7 of the IPL Code of Conduct and accepted the sanction. Shardul Thakur from Delhi Capitals has been fined 50 percent of his match-fee for breaching the TATA Indian Premier League’s (IPL) Code of Conduct during his team’s match against Rajasthan Royals .

Thakur admitted to the Level 2 offence under Article 2.8 of the IPL Code of Conduct and accepted the sanction. Pravin Amre, Assistant Coach, Delhi Capitals has been fined 100 percent of his match-fee for breaching the TATA Indian Premier League’s (IPL) Code of Conduct during his team’s match against Rajasthan Royals . He will also face a one-match ban for the offence. Amre admitted to the Level 2 offence under Article 2.20 of the IPL Code of Conduct and accepted the sanction.

Earlier , a hip-high full-toss from Royals bowler Obed McCoy in the 19th over , was hit by Delhi Capitals batsman Rovman Powell for a six and the Delhi Capitals camp demanded it be called a no-ball for height.

It started with Kuldeep Yadav, who was at the non-striker’s end, gesturing to the umpires to check for a possible no-ball on height. Powell joined in having a chat with the umpires too.

Pant then gestured to Powell and Kuldeep to walk off the field while Amre went into the playing arena.

Former England skipper Kevin Pietersen now, commentator, slammed Pant for his actions when he said, “This is cricket, not football. You cannot be doing that.” KP further said , “Rishabh Pant calling batters back and coach entering the field to stop the play was unacceptable. I hope I never ever see this kind of a thing again”.
