Bollywood superstar actress Deepika Padukone is all set to launch her lifestyle brand that is rooted in India. According to a statement, the first category of launch will focus on beauty and skincare. This category specifically, while rooted in India, will be backed by science.
“India, I believe, has always been positioned uniquely. While we have tremendous access to the rest of the world, we are a country that is rich in values, culture and heritage; something we are extremely proud of. Therefore, our endeavour is to build a brand that is rooted in India yet global in its reach and appeal,” she said.
The name of the brand has not been revealed yet. It is expected to roll out in 2022.
On the work front She will be soon seen in Kabir Khan’s 83 a tribute to the 1983 World Cup winning cricket team, where she pairs up with husband Ranveer Singh who plays iconic – allrounder Kapil Dev while Deepika plays his wife Romi Dev. There is Siddharth Anand’s Pathan opposite Superstar Shah Rukh Khan . Then she will be seen in another Siddharth Anand film Fighter opposite Superstar Hrithik Roshan.
Further she has signed her second Hollywood film, is set to star in an upcoming cross-cultural romantic comedy to be developed by STXfilms, a division of Eros STX Global Corporation, the studio announced recently.
Deepika will also produce the upcoming film through her banner Ka Productions. The announcement of the project was made by Adam Fogelson, chairman, STXfilms Motion Picture Group, in a statement.
Fogelson called Padukone “one of the biggest global stars to come from India” and said the actor, who made her Hollywood debut with XXX: Return of Xander Cage in 2017, has only grown as an international superstar.
