Interim Congress president Sonia Gandhi and former prime minister Dr Manmohan Singh visited senior Congress leader and former Union finance minister P Chidambaram in Tihar jail .
Karti Chidambram thanked Snonia and Dr Manmohan Singh for the visit , when he told media persons , “My father and my family are extremely grateful to Congress President Sonia Gandhi and former PM Dr Manmohan Singh for visiting him today and for extending their support. It’s a big boost for us in this political fight.”
Chidambaram is in judicial custody in Tihar jail till October 3.
Chidambaram, who was the Union home minister and the finance minister during the UPA rule from 2004 to 2014, was arrested by the CBI on August 21 from his Jor Bagh residence.
