Women and child development minister Smriti Irani once again in a press conference lashed out at former Congress president Rahul Gandhi for abusing Prime Minister Narendra Modi .
Hitting out at Rahul Irani said, The political psychosis of Rahul Gandhi is on full display. He kept lying in London and in India, inside and outside the Parliament. Rahul Gandhi’s target is PM Modi and PM Modi’s target is the development of the country.
On asked on the notice sent to Rahul Gandhi to vacate his bungalow Irani quoted by ANI said, “The house does not belong to him, it belongs to the common people. ”
Interestingly Irani’s attack on Rahul Gandhi came when SC court was hearing again the Bilkis Bano case. The Supreme Court had issued notice to the Centre, Gujarat government and all the convicts on a plea filed by Bilkis Bano challenging the pre-mature release of 11 convicts who had gang-raped her and murdered her family members during the 2002 Godhra riots.A bench of Justices KM Joseph and BV Nagarathna posted the matter for hearing on April 18.
It asked the Union and Gujarat governments to be ready with the relevant files granting remission to the convicts on the next date of hearing. The top court also directed that the pleadings in the case to be completed by the next date of hearing.
The apex court said there is a gamut of issues involved and it needs to hear the matter in detail.
The Union Minister Irani , conveniently though kept the attack on Rahul Gandhi but chose to remain silent on Bilkis Bano case .
