Scripting History : Ajaz Patel Joins, Jim Laker, Anil Kumble, Becomes Third Bowler In Test Cricket History To Take All #10Wickets

New Zealand’s 33 – year-old  spinner Ajaz Patel has become only the third bowler in history of Test cricket to take all 10 wickets in an innings. His sensational spell  helped Kiwis to bundle India out for 325 in the first innings on Day 2 of the 2nd Test at the Wankhede in Mumbai on Saturday.

He bowled a marathon spell of 47.5 overs  and had figures of 10/ 119 runs to make place for himself in the annals of history and emulates Jim Laker and Anil Kumble in reaching the landmark.

As soon as Patel took his tenth wicket, India’s senior spinner Ravichandran Ashwin stood up and the crowd gave him a standing ovation

Jim Laker claimed the feat first in 1956 and India’s Anil Kumble bagged in the in 1999 against Pakistan In feroz shah Kotla stadium Delhi.

What his more special was that Patel achieved the feat in the city he was born . He emigrated with his family when he was eight years old to New Zealand , and was formerly a left-arm seam bowler.
