Priyanka Chaturvedi Is Shiv Sena’s Candidate For Rajya Sabha Polls

In a major decision the Shiv Sena has announced that it’s deputy leader Priyanka Chaturvedi will be the Party’s candidate for the upcoming Rajya Sabha polls scheduled on March 26.

A former Congress leader and spokesperson Chaturvedi quit the Congress on April 2019 to join the Shiv Sena. She apparently left the party as no action was taken against some party worker’s who allegedly misbehaved with her.

Earlier NCP chief Sharad Pawar had filed his nomination for the Rajya Sabha election on Wednesday.

Besides Pawar”s, the Rajya Sabha terms of Union minister Ramdas Athawale, Congress” Hussain Dalwai, Sena”s Rajkumar Dhoot, BJP”s Amar Sable, BJP-backed Independent Sanjay Kakade and NCP”s Majeed Memon will end on April 2.

Election for the seven Rajya Sabha seats in Maharashtra will be held on March 26.
