Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the annual UN General Assembly (UNGA) session on September 28, according to a provisional list released by the UN of the world leaders scheduled to speak at the 74th session of the United Nations.

According to a report by PTI, Modi is also expected to attend multiple high-level summits on the margins of the General Assembly session as well as hold bilateral and multilateral engagements during his visit to New York.

As prime minister, Modi had given his maiden address at the UNGA in 2014. His address to the world leaders at the UN in September will be his first after winning a second term as prime minister in a resounding electoral victory in May.

According to the first provisional list of speakers for the General Debate of the UNGA session, Modi will address the summit in the morning of September 28. The General Debate will commence on September 24 and run through September 30.
