Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s PM-CARES fund got support instantly. The first superstar celebrity to donate to the fund to combat the fast spreading COVID- 19 is Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar. The superstar had donated Rs 25 crore to the newly announced fund.
Akshay Took to this twitter handle to make the donation announcement where he wrote, “This is that time when all that matters is the lives of our people. And we need to do anything and everything it takes. I pledge to contribute Rs 25 crores from my savings to @narendramodi ji’s PM-CARES Fund. Let’s save lives, Jaan hai toh jahaan hai”
