Former Mumbai police commissioner Param Bir Singh files a petition before the Supreme court about his transfer to the Maharashtra home guards.
Singh had earlier in sensational letter claimed that Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh wanted police officers to collect at least Rs 100 crore from city bars and hotels every month, a charge which Deshmukh denied.
Param Bir Singh, in his petition before Supreme Court, has also demanded a CBI inquiry against Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh. He has also sought protection from further coercive action from the state against him.
