Nitish Kumar Expresses Concern Over Migrant Workers From The State Killed In J&K, Speaks To LG Manoj Sinha, Urges Security Measures

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has expressed concern over killings of migrant labourers from Bihar in Jammu And Kashmir by terrorists.   The Chief Minister called up Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha over the issue.

Kumar spoke to Sinha over the telephone upon learning about the death of Raja Rishidev and Yogendra Rishidev in Anantnag, which came a day after Arvind Kumar Sah was gunned down in Srinagar.

I have spoken to J&K LG & raised concern over recent killings. Clearly some people are targeting those who have gone to J&K to work. The chief minister has announced an ex-gratia of Rs 2 lakh for the next of kin of all the three deceased and issued instructions to the departments of labour and social welfare to ensure that benefits under relevant schemes reach the bereaved families.
