New Army Chief Manoj Pande Says it’s the Army’s duty to remain ready to tackle any challenges

General Manoj Pande, who took over as the new chief of the Army staff, received a guard of honour at South Block lawns on the morning.

As per report by ANI Later, addressing the media, Gen Pande said, “My foremost priority will be to ensure high standards of operational preparedness to face the current, contemporary and future challenges across the entire spectrum of conflict.”

“In terms of capability development and force modernisation, my effort will be to leverage new technologies through process of indigenisation and Aaatmanirbharta,” he said.

“The geopolitical situation is changing rapidly, and we have many challenges, it’s the Army’s duty to remain ready to tackle any challenges in coordination with all sister Services. My endeavour will be to take forward the work done by my predecessors,” the new Army chief said.

Air Force Chief Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhari and Navy Chief Admiral R Hari Kumar were at the Guard of Honour for General Manoj Pande on his taking over as the 29th Chief of Army Staff. All three Chiefs are from the 61st batch of the National Defence Academy.
