Controversial Mumbai Police officer Sachin Vaze, arrested in the probe into recovery of explosives from a vehicle outside industrialist Mukesh Ambani’s residence ‘Antilia’, was on Monday suspended from the service. Encounter specialist Sachin Vaze was suspended a day after he was arrested by the National Investigative Agency (NIA) in connection with the Ambani bomb scare case.
Further it is learnt from ANI report that NIA is probing if the man who is seen in a CCTV grab near Antilia, wearing a PPE on the night when Scorpio was parked, is Sachin Vaze or not. NIA is checking his alibi, CCTV footage etc
Announcing the development, Mumbai Police Spokesperson DCP S Chaitanya said, “API Sachin Vaze has been placed under suspension, by an order of Addl CP Special Branch.”
