Going the by the Maharashtra assembly polls indications  in various news channels the BJP – Shiv Sena combine is set to return to power in Maharashtra once again.

The people it seems have reposed their faith in incumbent Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.

Meanwhile Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut has reportedly said his party and the BJP will form the next government in Maharashtra, and stressed the two parties will stick to the pre-decided “50-50” sharing formula.

He said Shiv Sena president Uddhav Thackeray and Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis will hold talks on implementing the formula. On the Congress and NCP collectively fairing better than the 2014 polls in the state, Raut said the opposition also needs to be strong in a democracy.

He noted that NCP chief Sharad Pawar “using his experience” and fanning parts of the state also gave some success to the opposition party. “But we are also winning seats in good number,” the Rajya Sabha member added.

What has been the biggest talk is that the Nationalist Congress party ( NCP ) of Maratha stalwart Sharad Pawar , braving many defections has done better than the Grand Old party the Congress in these elections. Pawar campaigned hard in the state and the results are there to see.

The bitter in- fighting in the Congress was clearly seen in the results . The party should take the blame for the lacklustre campaign by its leaders. Rahul Gandhi came but hardly left an impact.
