#MadhyaPradeshCrisis : After Jyotiraditya Scindia, 20 MLA’s Quit Congress Party, Kamal Nath Government On Verge Of Collapse

The Congress government in Madhya Pradesh under Chief Minister Kamal Nath plunged into major crisis on dramatic day Of Holi, After Jyotiraditya Scindia resigned from the party end is set to join the BJP, the troubles for the party had only begun.

According to media reports, in the fast changing political situation as many as 20 MLAs of the ruling Congress in Madhya Pradesh, most of them believed to be loyal to expelled party leader Jyotiraditya Scindia, have sent their resignation letters via e-mail to Raj Bhavan, sources said.

“We have received resignations of 19 MLAs through e-mails with attachments,” a Raj Bhawan official said. After 19 another one had quit the party later in the day taking the tally to 20 as at the time of filing this report.

In the Madhya Pradesh assembly Congress has 114 MLA’s while the BJP has 107 . It will be surely days when the drama settle down in the Madhya Pradesh political drama.
