Having already rejected the Exit Polls predictions for the BJP , Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai has once again ahead of the counting day on May 13 exuded confidence of BJP returning to power.

“There is no chance of a hung Assembly. We are going to form the government comfortably. Let him (DK Shivakumar) be happy with his 141 seats till tomorrow. We will have a legislature party meeting to decide the CM’s face,” Bommai said.

The electoral fortunes of top leaders– Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai of the BJP, Congress heavyweights Siddaramaiah and DK Shivakumar and HD Kumaraswamy of JD-S, among many others will be known on Saturday.

The counting will begin at 8 am in 36 centres across the state, and poll officials expect a clear picture about the outcome is likely to emerge by mid-day. Elaborate security arrangements have been made across the State, especially in and around the counting centres, to avoid any untoward incidents, official sources said.
