The AAP party in Delhi has got a jolt. As party leader Ashutosh has announced his decision to resign from the party citing ‘very very personal reasons’. He also added that he would not be speaking to the media and that they should respect his privacy.

Ashutosh was season television journalist before he joined the Anna Hazare’s movement India Against Corruption. He contested the 2014 Lok Sabha polls from Chandni Chowk on AAP ticket.

“Every journey has an end. My association with AAP which was beautiful/revolutionary has also an end. I have resigned from the PARTY/requested PAC to accept the same. It is purely from a very very personal reason. Thanks to party/all of them who supported me throughout. Thanks,” Ashutosh said on Twitter .
