#INDvSL 2ndT20 : India Rout Sri Lanka By 7 Wickets, Lead Series Lead 1-0

India outclassed Sri Lanka by seven wickets to win the second T20 in Indore. With the win India , the men in blue have taken a 1-0 lead in the three match T20 series.

Indian skipper Virat kohli won the toss and elected to field first. And his bowlers did fine job to restrict Sri Lanka to 142 / 9 in their 20 overs. For Sri Lanka the batting was let down. Batsmen got starts but could not go on . Danushka Gunathilaka (20), Avishka Fernando (22), Kusal Perera ( 34) . The rest did not apply themselves. And fell apart.

For India , After a return from injury Jasprit Bumrah had figures of 1 / 32 (4 overs) , Shardul Thakur was the pick of the bowlers with 3/ 23 ( 4 overs) , Navdeep Saini was tight with 2/ 18 ( 4 overs), Washington Sundar 1/29 ( 4 overs), Kuldeep Yadav 2/ 38 (4 overs)

India were hardly troubled while chasing the modest target. K L Rahul and Shikhar Dhawan got India to a fine start putting on 71 for the first wicket in 9.1 overs. Rahul was aggressive with his 45 off 32 balls. He struck 6 fours.

Dhawan (32) off 29 balls, Shreyas Iyer scored a quick fire 34 off 26 balls with 3 fours and a six. Skipper Virat Kohli remained unbeaten on 30 off mere 17 balls and Rishabh Pant not out on 1 saw India home in 17. 3 overs. India reached 144 / 3.

For the Lankans it was poor outing, Skipper Lasith Malinga was expensive 0/41 (4 overs), Lahiru Kumara 1/30 (3.3 overs), Wanindu Hasaranga 2/30 ( 4 overs), Dasun Shanaka 0/26 (4 overs), Dhananjaya de Silva 0/15 (2 overs)

The first T20 was abandoned due to rain in Guwahati . Now the two teams face-off in the decider at Pune on January 10.
