India Rout A Listless West Indies By Innings And 272 Runs To Win First Test, Lead Series 1-0

The much talked about India against West Indies Test series was said to be one- sided contest even before the first ball was bowled. And it stayed that way. India were too good at the first Test at Rajkot. And they won by an innings and 272 runs . Thus taking a easy 1-0 lead in the series

Indian batting excelled in home conditions to post a massive 6 49 for 9 declared. With fine debut hundred by Prithivi Shaw, Skipper Virat Kohli 139, Ravindra jadeja 100, Rishabh Pant 92 and Cheteshwar Pujara 86. It was too much for the West Indies.

They batted poorly and had no clue to the Indian owling be it pace or spin and were bowled out for totals of 181 and 196.
