Prime Minister Narendra Modi has strongly cautioned against efforts to sow differences and create chasm amongst people in the country on one pretext or the other and said such attempts will not succeed.
Addressing an NCC rally at the Cariappa Ground in Delhi Cantonment, Modi said the mantra of unity was the only way for India to achieve grandeur.
NCC is celebrating 75 years of its formation. Those who have represented NCC over the last 75 years, have been a part of it, I appreciate their contribution to nation-building. India is proud of the determination and spirit of service of the NCC cadets said PM Modi
“Bhaanti, bhaanti ki baatein nikaal kar, Maa Bharti ke santaano ke beech main doodh mein daraar karne ki koshishe ho rahi hai. (Several issues are raked up to create divisions among the children of Mother India),” the prime minister said in Hindi. Despite such efforts, there will never be differences among the people of India, he said.
“Maa ke doodh main kabhi darar nahi ho sakti,” he said.
“The youth of the country are benefiting from India’s defence sector reforms. In the last 8 years, the number of our daughters in the police and paramilitary forces has doubled. Today, we see deployment of women in all three wings of the armed forces said PM Modi.
