NCP Chief and Maratha stalwart Sharad Pawar’s daughter and LoK Sabha MP Supriya Sule, who played a key role in keeping the NCP- Shiv Sena- Congress, MLA’s together has in touching tweet recalled her association with Bal Thackeray and his wife.
She said that they treated her like their own daughter. “Maa Saheb and Bala Saheb – missing you so much today. Both of you should have been here today. They treated me with so much love and affection more than a daughter! Their role in my life will always be special and memorable! (sic0),” Sule said in tweets in English and Marathi.

Supriya was in the limelight when she welcomed all the newly-elected legislators across the three Aghadi parties, as they arrived at the Vidhan Bhavan for their swearing-in ceremony.
Her image with Aditya Thackeray and her cousin Ajit Pawar went viral as she greeted them both with warm hugs.
Even though Sharad Pawar and Bal Thackeray were political adversaries, they shared a warm personal relationship and when Supriya Sule was nominated to the Rajya Sabha, Thackeray had sent his blessings.
Earlier, her father Sharad Pawar too recalled Bal Thackeray when he recently stated : Had Balsaheb Thackeray been alive today, he would have been happy.”
“We had personal relations for many years. People like Balasaheb, me and George Fernandes criticised each other, but our personal relations were never impacted. There were instances where we criticised each other at rallies, but met in the evening for dinner,” Pawar said.
