Farmer leaders at Singhu Border have received a draft proposal from the Government of India. Manjeet Singh, BKU State President, Doaba, says, “We are now going to hold discussions on the proposal sent by Government of India.”

“All three farm laws should be repealed. This is our demand. If the proposal talks of only amendments then we will reject it” said Kanwalpreet Singh Pannu, Kisan Sangharsh Committee, Punjab at Singhu border

The government’s draft proposal was sent to farm leaders today with written amendments that the government intends to carry out. The government assured that the Minimum support price (MSP) will not be ended and that it will continue, adding that there will be major changes in the mandi system and APMC (Agricultural Produce Marketing Committee) law.
