#Farewell Address : Outgoing President Ram Nath Kovind Urges Need To Take Care Of Environment, Hails New Education Policy,

Outgoing President Ram Nath Kovind in his farewell address to nation said that mother Nature is in deep agony, climate crisis can endanger the very future of this planet.

5 years ago, I was elected as the President through your elected people’s representatives. My term as the President is finishing today. I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to all of you & your public representatives, Kovind was quoted as saying by ANI

“We must take care of our environment, our land, air and water for the sake of our children,” said Kovind.

He said that the National Education Policy will go long way for young Indians to connect with their heritage, find their feet in 21st century.

“I firmly believe that our country is getting equipped to make 21st century the century of India,” the outgoing president said.

Kovind said that the ideals of liberty, equality and fraternity not abstractions but lofty, noble and uplifting. He said that he received full cooperation, support and blessings from all sections of society during his tenure.

“The nation has been celebrating ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’. Next month, we’ll celebrate the 75th anniversary of Independence. We will enter the ‘Amrit Kaal’, the 25-year period leading to the centenary of Independence” stated Kovind as reported by PTI .

Kovind lauded the armed  forces, I will especially cherish the occasions when I had an opportunity to meet our brave jawans of the armed forces, para-military forces and the police. Their patriotic zeal is as amazing, as it is inspiring.
