#Dream11IPL 2020 : Morgan, Cummins Keep KKR Alive For Play Offs, Beat Rajasthan Royals By 60 Runs

Needing to win keep their play-offs hopes alive, the Kolkata Knight Riders came out with intent and overwhelmed the Rajasthan Royals by 60 runs in Dubal. The Loss means the Royals despite late flourish in tournament end the season with last place finish. KKR jump to fourth spot and their qualification will depend on other results.

Rajasthan Royals skipper Steve Smith won the toss and decided to bowl first. His move paid off well in the beginning as KKR were jolted early with Nitish Rana out for ( 0) by Jofra Archer. Shubman Gill ( 36), Dinesh karthik ( 0), Rahul Tripathi (39) Sunil Narine (0). At one stage the score read 99/5 in 12.3 overs. But skipper Eoin Morgan played a captain’s innings . A superb unbeaten 68 off 35 balls with 5 fours and six sixes . Andre Russell ( scored a quick ( 25) off 11 as Morgan with sizzling last ball innings six finished strongly towards the end and helped his team reach a imposing 191/7 in their twenty overs .

For the Royals Jofra Archer was brilliant as he has been right through with 1/19 ( 4 overs), Rahul Tewatia 3/25 ( 4 overs) , Kartik Tyagi 2/36 ( 4 overs), Shreyas Gopal 1/44 (3 overs) , Varun Aaron 0/22( 2 overs) Ben Stokes 0/40 ( 3 overs)

In reply the Royals got off to a Flier, with Robin Uthappa and Ben Stokes taking 19 off Pat Cummins first over. But in the last ball Cummins has Uthappa caught. The Aussie speedster who has had a rather indifferent season with the ball bowled with fire when it mattered most. Cummins ripped through the Royals batting . Taking the prized wickets of Ben Stokes 18 ( brilliantly caught by Dinesh Karthik), Steve Smith ( 4), and Riyan Parag ( 0). The game was as good as over for the Royals. Sanju Samson ( 1) , Jos Buttler ( 35), Rahul Tewatia( 31) found the target a tough one to chase . Royals finished at 131/ 9 in their twenty overs and losing by 60 runs.

For KKR, Pat Cummins was the star with splendid figures of 4/29 (4 overs) , Shivam Mavi 2/25 ( 4 overs), Varun Chakravarthy 2/20 ( 4 overs), Kamlesh Nagarkoti 1/24 (4 overs), Sunil Narine 0/ 37 ( 4 overs).
