Coming into this match both the teams Rajasthan Royals and Sunrisers Hyderabad were desperate for points to keep their play- offs hopes alive. So the match was huge. SRH skipper David warner won the toss and in this crucial match decided to field first.

And to Warner’s delight his bowlers were spot and and kept the Royals batsmen under check backed up by fine fielding. Robin Uthappa was run-out for 19, Ben Stokes promoted up the order to give the team the flying start has not happened. The star all- rounder got off to starts but could not carry on and his run a ball innings in this match hit the run- rate badly. He was out for 30 off 32 balls. Sanju Samson ( 36), Steve Smith ( 19) , Jos Buttler ( 9), Riyan Parag ( 20), Jofra Archer ( 16) enabled the royals reach 154 / 6 in their twenty overs

For the SRH , Sandeep Sharma 0/ 31 ( 4 overs) West Indies skipper Jason Holder ( coming in place of injured Kane Williamson) made his presence felt with figures of 3/33 ( 4 overs) , Rashid Khan as usual was hard to get away having figures of 1/ 20 ( 4 overs), Vijay Shankar 1/15 ( 3 overs), Thangarasu Natarajan 0/ 46 ( 4 overs)

In reply to the Royals target, SRH lost skipper David Warner ( 4) and Jonny Bairstow ( 10)early. Both feel to Jofra Archer who once again came up with an impressive spell . Early jolts gave the Royals the hope, but Manish Pandey in aggressive power innings took the match away form them. Pandey was in blazing form and scored an unbeaten 83 off mere 47 balls studded with four fours and eight mighty sixes. He featured in match- winning 140 run-partnership off 93 balls with Vijay Shankar who too scored and unbeaten ( 52) off 51 balls with 6 fours. The duo guided SRH home with in 18.1 overs reaching 156/ 2.

For the Royals , Jofra Archer took 2/21 ( 4 overs), Ankit Rajpoot 0/11 ( 1 over), Kartik Tyagi 0/42( 3 overs), Ben Stokes 0/ 24 ( 2 overs), Rahul Tewatia 0/ 25 ( 4 overs), Shreyas Gopal 0/32 ( 4 overs)

The win took the SRH to fifth slot now with eight points , while the Royals after this latest loss could mean that their season is well and truly over.
