Disruption : WhatsApp Services Return After Outage ; #Whatsappdown Was Trending On Twitter For A While

After a brief service disruption WhatsApp finally resumed services . Earlier the services all over India and reportedly in some other countries there were issues of receiving and sending messages . WhatsApp stopped working around 12 PM on October 25, 2022, just the day after Diwali.

WhatsApp had acknowledged the outage and an official spokesperson of Meta told ANI, “We’re aware that some people are currently having trouble sending messages and we’re working to restore WhatsApp for everyone as quickly as possible.

#Whatsappdown was trending on Twitter, and many users took to the microblogging platform to share funny memes on the issue.

Downdetector reported significant rise in complaints around WhatsApp outage; nearly 29,000 reports were flagged by users.

Downdetector’s heatmap showed WhatsApp users in major cities, including Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru and Kolkata were impacted by the disruption.
