Delhi is due to vote on February 8 and the results are expected on February 11. Taking no chances to woo the electorate , the BJP released a long list of 40 star campaigners which includes big guns like PM Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP party president J.P.Nadda, Yogi Adityanath and even some actor-turned-politicians like Sunny Deol and Hema Malini. Cricketer- turned politician Gautam Gambhir to figures in the list.

In the last assembly polls in 2015 , the BJP could manage only three seats. This time it is hoping to unseat the ruling AAP government of Arvind Kejriwal .
However, this time, with several union ministers, chief ministers in the list of star campaigners the party is hoping for turn- around in fortunes. Having lost Maharashtra and Jharkhand in the previous state assembly elections, BJP cannot afford to let Delhi slip out their hands.
