As Cyclone Fani ravages many states with Eastern states Odisha, West Bengal bearing the brunt Prime Minister Narendra Modi while addressing an election rally in Hindaun, Rajasthan, he said the government was with the people in this time of crisis.
“I took the latest update from officers. I held a review meeting yesterday (on Thursday). More than Rs 1,000 cr was release to concerned governments in advance. The NDRF, Indian Coast Guard, army, navy and Air Force are working with the administration. I assure the affected people that the entire nation and the Centre are with them,” Modi said.
Modi assured full support and reiterated that the Centre is in constant with the governments of West Bengal, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Andhra Pradesh .
Modi had earlier tweeted the chairing of the high level meeting with senior officials to review the preparedness of Cyclone Fani
Chaired a high level meeting to review the preparedness relating to Cyclone Fani. The Central Government is ready to provide all possible assistance that would be required.
