COVID-19 : Total Lockdown, All Domestic Passenger Flights To Be Suspended From March 24 Midnight

In yet another move that indicates a total lockdown, the government in a major decision has banned all domestic passenger flight operations from March 24 midnight as the country goes under wide lockdown to stop the spread of coronavirus.

All passenger trains, metro trains and inter-state buses were suspended on Sunday.

The government had already suspended international flight operations for a week from March 22.

Airlines have been asked to plan operations so as to land at their destination before 23:59 hours on 24/3/2020.

The restrictions shall not apply to cargo-carrying flights.

As of now, 415 confirmed cases have been reported, 23 patients have been discharged and 7 deaths reported.
