Better Late Than Never, Tweets Omar Abdullah After 4G Internet Is Restored In J&K After 18 Months

Omar Abdullah , former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir and National Conference Vice- president has welcomed the government move to restore 4 G internet to entire J&K after 18 months . In a tweet , Omar wrote, 4G Mubarak! For the first time since Aug 2019 all of J&K will have 4G mobile data. Better late than never.

Earlier, the high speed mobile internet 4G was restored in the entire union territory of Jammu and Kashmir, exactly one and a half years after it was snapped in August 2019 when the Centre had abrogated the special status of the erstwhile state.

Principal Secretary of the Home Department Shaleen Kabra issued a notification and directed the Inspectors General of Kashmir and Jammu to “closely monitor the impact of lifting of restrictions”.

The Raj Bhavan’s official twitter handle of LG Manoj Sinha thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah for “acceding to our request and restoring 4G services in the entire Jammu and Kashmir UT. The move will fulfil the aspirations of the people, especially the youth”.
