The Supreme Court has finally given its ruling in a unanimous verdict on the decades-old Ram Mandir-Babri Masjid title dispute. Thus ending one  of the longest running title disputes . The SC under CJI Ranjan Gogoi heard the case for 40 days to arrive at an amicable solution.

The bench headed by CJI Ranjan Gogoi , also comprised Justices S A Bobde, D Y Chandrachud, Ashok Bhushan and S Abdul Nazeer, further said that terming the archeological evidence as merely an opinion would be a great disservice to the Archaeological Survey of India.

The  Supreme Court has given the entire disputed 2.77-acre land to the Hindu parties with a trust to be formed by the Centre to monitor the construction of a Ram Temple.

It also stated that and a suitable alternative plot of land measuring 5 acres at Ayodhya will be given to Sunni Wakf Board.

A suitable plot of land measuring 5 acre shall be given to Sunni Waqf Board, it said. It said that the Archeological Survey of India report on the underlying structure can’t be dismissed and that Babri Masjid wasn’t constructed on a vacant land.

Earlier, The Shia Waqf Board’s claim on the Babri Masjid has been unanimously dismissed and the Nirmohi Akhara has also suffered a setback. The bench ruled that the Nirmohi Akhara suit is barred by limitations and said the Akhara isn’t a shebait.

There is no evidence that Muslims abandoned mosque.Hindus always believed birthplace of Lord Ram was in inner courtyard of mosque. Clearly established that Muslims offered prayer inside inner courtyard&Hindus offered prayers in outer courtyard .

The mosque was not abandoned by the Muslims. Though the Hindus continued to worship at Ram Chabutra but they claimed ownership on Garbh Garha also.

There is evidence that Ram Chabutra, Sita Rasoi was worshipped by the Hindus before the British came. Evidence in the records shows that Hindus were in the possession of outer court of the disputed land.

Titles can’t be decided on faith and belief but on the claims. Historical accounts indicate the belief of Hindus that Ayodhya was the birthplace of Lord Ram
