After Completing His Four-Day Visit To Violence Hit Manipur, Amit Shah Calls On President Droupadi Murmu; Termed As Courtesy Call

Union Home Minister Amit Shah called on President Droupadi Murmu and described the meeting as a courtesy call.

Shah met the president a day after his return from Manipur where he spent four days to take stock of the situation in the wake of ethnic violence. He also met a cross section of people in the northeastern state.

“Today, I paid a courtesy call on honourable President Droupadi Murmu,” he tweeted in Hindi.

Meanwhile according to ANI, quoting Manipur Police , After Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s appeal, 140 weapons have been surrendered at different places in Manipur.

Later, Amit Shah lauded people of Telangana on Foundation Day in a tweet as he wrote, Greetings to the vibrant people of Telangana on their Foundation Day. The people of Telangana are known for their resilience and have shaped the state’s rich history and culture. May this auspicious day bless the state with even more strength to emerge even more prosperous.
