Narendra Modi 2.0 Portfolios Announced : Amit Shah Home Minister, Rajnath Singh Defence , Nirmala Sitharaman Finance, S Jaishankar External Affairs

The cabinet portfolios of Prime Minister Narendra Modi ‘s 2. 0 is finally out after hours of speculation . The big four of the government have been named : Amit Shah is the new Home Minister. He takes over from Rajnath Singh. Rajnath is the new Defence Minister. Nirmala Sitharaman takes over from Arun Jaitley as the new finance Minister. Former foreign Secretary S Jaishankar will be the new External Affairs Minister.

The big four will be part of the all powerful CCS ( Cabinet Committee on Security ) headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi

Despite speculation of getting a major portfolio following her win over Congress president Rahul Gandhi in Amethi, Smriti Irani will retain her old portfolio of textiles, apart from which she has been awarded additional charge of the women and child development ministry.

Piyush Goyal gets to retain the Railways portfolio and has also been given Commerce and Industry which was held by Suresh Prabhu, who has been dropped.

Prakash Javadekar, who was the Human Resource Development minister, gets to retain the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change and will be the new Minister of Information and Broadcasting.

Giriraj Singh has been appointed as the Minister of Animal Husbandry, Dairying and Fisheries. And Arvind Ganpat Sawant as the Minister of Heavy Industries and Public Enterprise.

Jitendra Singh has been appointed as Minister of State (Independent Charge) of the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region, MoS PMO, Ministry of State in the Ministry of Personnel, Public grievances & pensions; MoS in the dept of atomic energy & MoS in dept of space.

Kiren Rijiju has been appointed as the Minister of State (Independent Charge) of the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports and Minister of State in the Ministry of Minority Affairs.

Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ to be the Minister of Human Resource Development and Arjun Munda has been appointed as Minister of Tribal Affairs.

Harsimrat Kaur Badal has been appointed as the Minister of Food Processing Industries.

Narendra Singh Tomar appointed as the Minister of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Rural Development & Panchayati Raj;

Ravi Shankar Prasad to be the Minister of Law&Justice, Minister of Communications, Minister of Electronics & Information Technology

Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi to be the Minister of Minority Affairs,

Pralhad Joshi to be the Minister of Parliamentary Affairs; Minister of Coal; and Minister of Mines.

Mahendra Nath Pandey has been appointed as the Minister of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship.

DV Sadananda Gowda appointed as the Minister of Chemical and Fertilisers.

Ram Vilas Paswan to be the Minister of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution.

Nitin Gadkari has been given the Ministry of Raod Transport & Highways and Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises.

Dr. Harsh Vardhan has been appointed as Minister of Health and Family Welfare; Minister of Science and Technology; and Minister of Earth Sciences.

Gajendra Singh Shekhwat to be the Minister of Jal Shakti.

Pratap Chandra Sarangi to be the MoS in the Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises and Ministry of Animal Husbandry, Dairying & Fisheries.

Babul Supriyo to be MoS in the Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change.

General (Retd) VK Singh to be the MoS in the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways.

Ramdas Athwale to be the MoS in the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment.

Anurag Thakur to be the MoS in the Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Corporate Affairs.

Hardeep Singh Puri has three ministries to look after – Minister of State ( Independent Charge) Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs; Minister of State ( Independent Charge) of Ministry of Civil Aviation and Minister of State in Ministry of Commerce and Industry.
