Big Jolt For Mamata Banerjee, 50 TMC Councillors Along With Two MLA’s, Join BJP

The on- going war between the Trinamool Congress and the BJP which  was very bitter  and ugly during the 2019 Lok Sabha polls of 2019 is set to reach crescendo soon. In a  big set-back  for West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, two Trinamool Congress MLAs and one Communist Party of India-Marxist MLA from West Bengal join Bharatiya Janata Party at party headquarters in Delhi.

TMC MLAs Subhranshu Roy, Tusharkanti Bhattacharjee and CPI-M MLA Devendra Roy joined BJP today in Delhi.

Subhranshu is the son of BJP leader Mukul Roy and had been suspended by TMC recently.

Addressing a press conference, Mukul Roy and BJP’s Bengal in-charge Kailash Vijayvargiya said that Bijpur TMC MLA Subhrangshu Roy and a legislator each from the Congress and CPM joined the saffron party along with 50 councillors.  Mukul Roy was also present on the occasion.

The Lok Sabha Elections in West Bengal for the 42 seats were held in seven faces and marked by violence in all seven phases. TMC and BJP faced off in a bitter political battle . TMC bagged 22 seats while BJP from 2 rose to 18 seats .
