#India Elections 2019 : Prime Minister Narendra Modi Votes In Ahmedabad, Voting On Third Phase Today With High Profile Leaders In Fray

The voting in the third phase of  the 2019 Lok Sabha polls has started today. Among the first to vote is Prime Minister Narendra Modi. After casting his vote in Ahmedabad, Modi said, I am fortunate that I also got the opportunity to fulfill my duty in my home state of Gujarat.

Like you feel pure after a holy dip in Kumbh, one feels pure after casting vote in this festival of democracy.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi cast his vote at the polling booth in Nishan Higher Secondary School in Ranip, Ahmedabad. He was accompanied by Bharatiya Janata Party president Amit Shah.

Earlier before casting his vote Prime Minister Narendra Modi met his mother at her residence in Gandhinagar .

The third phase of Lok Sabha elections will see the maximum number of seats going to the polls in a single phase — 117 across 15 states and Union Territories.

It will also be a test for the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party which will aim to defend the maximum number of seats at 62.

Congress president Rahul Gandhi will await his fate as kerala votes today in single phase polling . Gandhi is contesting from Wayanad.
