#VIVOIPL 2019 : Listless Royal Challengers Bangalore Suffer Sixth Defeat, This Time To Delhi Capitals

IPL jinx it seems will continue for Virat Kohli. The Royal Challengers Bangalore’s miserable run in the season 12 of the IPL continued as the team suffered its sixth straight loss. This time to Delhi Capitals. It will require a miracle by RCB  to get back themselves on the reckoning. Skipper Virat Kohli himself post – match admitted there are no  excuses left .

DC skipper Shreyas Iyer won the toss and put the RCB in on a slow wicket . And the RCB struggled for runs . They could muster only 149 / 8 in 20 0vers. Skipper Virat Kohli who opened the batting played a rather baffling knock in the middle . Kohli hung around for long played only 33 balls and scored 41 runs. He fell just when he was hitting the big shots. It was tough wicket to bat on. Moeen Ali showed some urgency in his 18 ball 32. Parthiv Patel ( 9), A B De Villiers ( 17 ) , Marcus Stoinis ( 15 ) summed up the poor RCB batting display.

For Delhi Capitals, Kagiso Rabada was the star again. He was impressive with a fine spell of 4/ 21 ( overs). Rabada was well supported by Chris Morris (2/28), Axar Patel (1/22) and Sandeep Lamichhane (1/46)

RCB needed wickets to win the match . Shikhar Dhawan fell for 0 . Prthivi Shaw scored ( 28) . RCB fielding was once again a flop show . Parthiv Patel the culprit. he dropped Shreyas Iyer Twice ( 4, 42) and it proved costly and the match as Iyer smashed a crucial 67 off 50 balls. Colin Ingram ( 22) , Rishabh Pant ( 18). Delhi almost made a mess losing  quick wickets towards the end as they tried   to play  some extravagant shots. They won in the end  though with four wickets to spare. Reaching 152/ 6 in 18. 5 overs

For RCB the wicket- takers were Tim Southee 1/ 24 ( 2 overs) once again he was smashed in his spell. Navdeep Saini 2/ 24 ( 4 overs) Pawan Negi 1/ 27 ( 3 overs) , Moeen Ali 1/ 22 ( 4 overs) and Mohammed Siraj 1/ 14 ( 1.5 overs)
