IPL 2018 : Sunrisers Hyderabad Defend Low Total Again, Beat Kings XI By 13 Runs

Sunrisers Hyderabad led effectively by Kane Williamson showed why they are a dangerous side in IPL 2018. The team once again showed great , grit , resolve and determination to  defend yet another low total to win. After it had successfully defended 118 against Mumbai Indians and winning by 31 runs , the Sunrisers in their latest match defended 132 against Kings XI Punjab and won by 13 runs .

Leg spinner Rashid Khan was the Sunrisers hero with a stunning spell. He claimed three for 19, along with Shakib (2/18) turned the match in the middle overs after Manish Pandey’s 54 helped them post 132 for six. while Shakib Al Hasan (28) and Yusuf Pathan (21 not out) made useful contributions. Kings XI pacer Ankit Rajpoot took (5/14) in a career-best bowling to restrict the SRH to a modest total

Besides Rashid and Shakib, Basil Thampi (2/14) and Sandeep Sharma (2/17) also rose to the occasion . Kane Williamson made some smart bowling changes and supported by brilliant fielding helped them defend a low total.

Chasing 132 , the kings got off to a flying start by K L Rahul ( 32) and Chris Gayle ( 23) . The duo put on 55 for the first wicket. And looked as if they match was headed for an early finish . Afghan leg-spinner Rashid got the big breakthrough when he cleaned up Rahul with a gem of a delivery. To trigger off a dramatic collapse.
