IPL 2018 : Sunrisers Hyderabad Hold Nerve To Beat Mumbai Indians By 1 Wicket

Sunrisers Hyderabad almost made a mess of the small target set by Mumbai Indians. In a thrilling match at Hyderabad, the SRH held their nerves to scrape home to win their second consecutive match. Needing 11 off the last over bowled by Ben Cutting , young Deepka Hooda ( 32 off 25 ) hit the first ball for six to make the target manageable.

It was left for the tall Bill Stanlake to loft the final ball for four to clinch the tie much to the relief of the huge home crowd. It was win from jaws of defeat. hey were at one stage placed at 73 for 1 before a dramatic batting collapse happened and taking the match to the last ball. For Mumbai Indians, leg-spinner Mayank Markande was the star in their bowling effort with a fine haul of (4/23 in 4 overs)

Earlier , Sunrisers Hyderabad’s bowlers had bowled tightly restrict Mumbai Indians to 147 for 8. Evin Lewis (29), Suryakumar Yadav (28) and Kieron Pollard (28) all got start for Mumbai Indians but could not carry on to score big runs . Skipper Rohit Sharma once again flopped scoring 11 after being dropped on 0.

For SRH, Sandeep Sharma replacing Bhuvneshwar Kumar bagged a (2/25 in 4 overs) while Siddarth Kaul had a tally (2/29 in 4 overs) bowled well. Rashid Khan, once again came up with a superb spell conceding just 13 runs of 4 over and a wicket. He bowled 18 dot balls.
