The Gujarat BJP  has already launched its first election-oriented campaign, ‘Adikham Gujarat’ (Resolute Gujarat)recently. After the 2012 assembly election’s, ‘Jitega Gujarat’ where the BJP pitched the campaign as one against the Congress-led UPA government, the BJP has now taken a position in which it tries to project a strong Gujarat, standing against all odds.

According to Times of India report, BJP national president Amit Shah will hold a social media town hall, on September 10, through which he will address 1 lakh youth at 100 centres.

Jitu Vaghani, Gujarat BJP president, said, “Despite all the efforts of the Congress people of Gujarat and the BJP remained ‘adikham’ (resolute) in the development journey. To express this spirit, we have launched the ‘Adikham Gujarat’ campaign. BJP national president Amit Shah — as part of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision to take youth along in the development of the country — is directly engaging with youth.

“On September 10, through a social media town hall from Ahmedabad, Amitbhai will address one lakh youth at 100 centres in state. Youth can ask questions through Twitter, Facebook or give a missed call on 7878182182 to register to ask Amitbhai questions or they can register and ask questions on www.adikhamgujarat.com. Amitbhai will try to answer as many youngsters as possible,” Vaghani said.

About whether Adikham Gujarat will be the theme of the upcoming assembly elections campaign, Vaghani said, “It will be specific to the event on the tenth only. There will be other campaigns as well.”

BJP had planned another campaign, called ‘Garje Gujarat’, however, that has reportedly been withdrawn as the feedback received was not good.
