Australia came out all guns firing and routed India by 10 wickets in the first ODI at Mumbai. The Aussies now take 1-0 lead in the three match ODI series.
Earlier Australian skipper Aaron Finch won the toss and elected to field first. And his bowlers did well to restrict India to 255 in 49.1 overs. For India, Shikhar Dhawan was top scorer with 74, K L Rahul (47), Rohit Sharma fell for (10) Skipper Virat Kohli fell for (16). Rishabh Pant ( 28 ) , Ravindra Jadeja (25). India posted a total of 255. It looked a bit less in front of the powerful Aussie side.
For the Aussies the wicket-takers were , Mitchell Starc 3/56 (10 overs) , Pat Cummins 2/44 (10 overs), Kane Richardson 2/ 43 ( 9.1 overs), Adam Zampa 1/ 53 (10 overs) , Ashton Agar 1/ 56 ( 10 overs)
In reply, the powerful Aussie openers skipper Aaron Finch and David Warner were simply brilliant. They batted India out of the contest with splendid tons . Indian bowlers were sent on a leather hunt. Both remained unbeaten Finch 110 off 114 balls with 13 fours and two sixes. Warner was a superb support too . Blasting an unbeaten 128 off 112 balls with 17 fours and three sixes. Australia romped home in 37.4 overs and 10 wickets in hand.
It was contest when Australia totally outplayed India in all departments of the game.
