Afghan superstar Rashid Khan could not have hoped for a better birthday . The day he turned 20, Rashid came out with a brilliant all -round show to help his team Afghanistan rout Bangladesh by a whopping 136 in a Asia Cup encounter in Abu Dhabi.
Afghanistan posted an impressive 255 for 7 . Rashid was brilliant with a power – packed 57 off 32 balls. He and Gulbadin Naib (42 not out) stitched 95 runs for the eighth wicket as they rained boundaries towards the end of their innings.
While chasing Shakib Al Hasan (32) and Mahmudullah (27) were the main scorers for Bangladesh as they were bundled out for mere 119. Rashid Khan was back in action again as he bagged both their wickets to end the tigers hopes.
Bangladesh struggled from the very beginning with two wickets falling inside five overs and runs hard to come by.
Nazmul Hossain Shanto (7), who made ODI debut Thursday, offered a leading edge to point fielder Aftab Alam of the bowling of off-spinner Mujeeb Ur Rahman in the fourth over.
