Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Gift For Varanasi, Approves Projects Over Rs 500cr

With the General Elections in 2019 not far away, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is trying to woo the people of his constituency – Varanasi with ambitious developmental projects. And the amount set for the various projects is whopping Rs 550 cr.

The projects that were inaugurated during Modi’s birthday visit include Integrated Power Development Scheme (IPDS) for Puraani Kashi and Atal Incubation Centre at Banaras Hindu University (BHU).

Among the projects for which the foundation stones were laid was the Regional Ophthalmology Centre at BHU.

Modi later addressed a gathering, starting his speech in local dialect, and chanting “Har, Har, Mahadev”.
