BJP has reacted sharply to the demand for probe by Congress president Rahul Gandhi on the claimes that the met Finance Minister Arun Jaitley before leaving India.
In a scathing attack during a party briefing over the issue, party spokesperson Sambit Patra slammed Rahul Gandhi for questioning Arun Jaitley . He instead showed the Vijay Mallya link with the Congress and how the UPA bebefitted Kingfisher airlines during its tenure.
Mocking Vijay Mallya’s meet at the corridor of parliament , Patra pointed out the appointment given by then prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh to Vijay Mallya . He highlighted the UPA’s quick response to a loan demand by Vijay Mallya.
“Rahul Gandhi has gone on the backfoot over Kingfisher Airlines. Sometimes it seems the airline wasn’t owned by Mallya but by Gandhi family in proxy. Benefits that the Gandhi family got out of Kingfisher Airlines via business class upgradation, free tickets etc is in public domain,”Sambit Patra said.
