NDA Sails through No-confidence Motion amidst Rousing Speeches and Political Hug in Parliament

After more than 10 hours of blistering debate in Parliament, the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) under the leadership of Narendra Modi won the no-confidence motion by 199 votes. It is evident that 325 members rejected the motion while 126 members supported the motion in the Lok Sabha. After the no-confidence motion, Narendra Modi, the Prime Minister of India twitted and thanked in his implacable way, “NDA has the confidence of the Lok Sabha and the 125 crore people of India. I thank all the parties that have supported us in the vote today. Our efforts to transform India and fulfill the dreams of our youth continue. Jai Hind!”

In order to put various things in a perspective, Narendra Modi earlier twitted, “Today is an important day in our Parliamentary democracy. I am sure my fellow MP colleagues will rise to the occasion and ensure a constructive, comprehensive & disruption free debate. We owe this to the people & the makers of our Constitution. India will be watching us closely.”

As expected the Monsoon Session would be stormy, the Opposition posed a fully of allegation on the government and how the ruling party failed to deal with a series of thorny issues. Indian Prime Minister reiterated that only the electoral of the country can his fate.
An unexpected drama unfolded in the Lok Sabha. Rahul Gandhi hugged Narendra Modi after a blistering speech in the Lok Sabha. Such gesture surprised many! Though Prime Minister   Narendra Modi mocked Rahul Gandhi, said, “The opposition is in a hurry to unseat him”.
Rahul Gandhi, President, Congress launched a frontal attack on Modi and his government. After a rousing speech in Parliament, Rahul Gandhi labelled Modi’s speech weak while coming out from Parliament though Mr. Gandhi did not tweet on his official account about the no-confidence motion as expected by many.
