The Union Finance and Defence Minister Arun Jaitley’s visit to Kerala comes in the bitter war between the RSS- and the Left. Arun Jaitley, will hold a town hall meeting with the families of RSS-BJP workers who were killed or injured in the violence last weekend.

A BJP statement had said that the finance minister and the most powerful minister in the Modi government is visiting the state in the wake of increasing attacks on BJP-RSS workers allegedly by the activists of ruling CPI(M).

Meanwhile, It is anticipated that the political fight between CPM and BJP is all set to enter an altogether new phase with the latter sending its senior leader and finance minister Arun Jaitley for a whirlwind trip .

The BJP has alleged that CPI-M workers were behind the killing of Rajesh, a charge denied by CPI-M.

According to the various media reports, Jaitley is scheduled to visit the home of RSS worker Rajesh, who was killed at Sreekaryam and attend a commemoration meeting. He will also visit the home of RSS worker Jayaprakash, who suffered injuries, allegedly at the hands of CPI(M) activists, at Sreevarahom. Weapons recovered The police team investigating the murder of Rajesh has recovered the weapons allegedly used for the crime , As reported By Hindu.

The visit is widely seen as the Centre’s move to test the political waters of Kerala in the wake of political clashes involving CPM and RSS-BJP workers and boost the morale of the party’s rank and file.

It is argued that the BJP was giving too much importance to political violence in Kerala so that damage it suffered from the medical college scam — involving BJP leaders in the state – was lessened, with the spotlight moving away from the issue.
